Samsung Takes Travelers to a New “Galaxy!”

Samsung is promoting their new Galaxy S III Phone with an NFC (near field communications) campaign in several major JCDecaux U.S. airports. Using backlit dioramas, the ads invite travelers to hold up their Galaxy S III phones to the NFC-chip embedded posters to download free books or music! Latest estimates report that airports are the #1 environment for activation in Samsung’s campaign, ahead of malls, street furniture, health clubs, college campuses and transit stations where the ads are also located. This is a great testament to the fact that air travelers are tech-savvy and have time on their hands while they wait for flights…
The campaign was initiated in New York at John F. Kennedy, Newark Liberty and La Guardia Airports and has been expanded to LAX, Washington Dulles, Ronald Reagan National, Dallas Love Field and Boston Logan International!
