The 2020 virtual OBIE Awards aired this week, celebrating the best of innovation in out-of-home-media. Several campaigns executed in partnership with JCDecaux won big, taking home awards for creativity and inventive delivery.

HBO’s Watchmen won Gold in the Digital Design category and Silver in the Engagement category. Multiple newsstands and bus shelters in New York City donned a digital countdown to the release of the new show, building anticipation amidst the crowds. In midtown, a unique bus shelter engaged passersby with a fun augmented reality element, layering components of the show over our world.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort won a Bronze in the Custom Installation category. Transforming a Chicago bus stop bench into a ski-lift chair, this installation transported commuters to the top of the ski slopes.

Our client, AT&T, was chosen as the 2020 Hall of Fame Inductee, honored for their long-standing creativity in the OOH medium.

Out-of-home is an incredibly powerful medium, as it reaches the masses daily. Advertisers can further amplify this speaking power by inventing unique creatives which both engage and fascinate audiences.
